The stretch we cover on the A50.
The A50 runs from the A500 at Stoke through to the M1 at Derby. We cover the Staffordshire length of it and over the Derbyshire border, on both carriageways and the slip roads.
Stoke to Blythe Bridge
From the A500 junction at Sideway through Longton and Meir, out to the Blythe Bridge and Draycott junctions. Our base is on this stretch, so response here is the quickest we offer.
Blythe Bridge to Uttoxeter
Past Forsbrook, Draycott and Tean to the Uttoxeter junctions and the racecourse. A fast, exposed stretch where debris punctures are common.
Uttoxeter to the Derby border
Through Sudbury, Doveridge and on towards Foston and Hilton. Further out, so mileage may be added, but we still attend at any hour.

The A50 has long stretches with a narrow verge and no hard shoulder to speak of. That makes an unplanned tyre change genuinely dangerous, and it is why REACT accreditation matters — traffic management, correct cones and signage, and high-visibility standards for every job.
Where a spot is too exposed to work in at all, we will say so and arrange for the vehicle to be moved to the nearest safe place first. We would rather tell you that than take a risk with your car and our fitter.

How fast can you reach the A50?
Our base at Blythe Bridge is on the A50 corridor itself, so this is the road we reach quickest. You will be given a realistic arrival time on the phone based on where the van actually is — we do not quote a time we cannot keep.
Are you allowed to work on a live road?
Yes. Every DMS fitter holds a REACT licence, the accreditation required for work on the strategic road network. It covers traffic management, signage and high-visibility standards, and it is why we can attend at any hour where many mobile fitters cannot.
How much is a roadside call-out?
Call-out is £40+VAT in working hours and £80+VAT out of hours, on top of the tyre and fitting. Mileage may be added over longer distances. The full total is confirmed on the phone before we set off. These are same-day emergency rates — a job booked in advance for working hours carries no call-out charge.
Can you come out to the verge, or do I need to get off the road?
We attend the verge and hard strip where it is safe to set up traffic management. If your position is too exposed to work in, we will tell you honestly and help arrange for the vehicle to be moved somewhere we can work properly.
Do you cover the Derbyshire end?
Yes, out through Sudbury and Doveridge towards Foston. A mileage charge may apply on the longer runs, confirmed with you before we set off.
